'My Worry Pizza': Sorting Worries and Exploring Coping Skills

The Worry Pizza helps children to sort their worries into ‘things I never worry about’, ‘things I sometimes worry about’, and ‘things I always worry about’.
While it is easy to take on all of the worries we have at once, it can often be overwhelming and inhibiting. By sorting our worries and facing them one by one, it becomes easier to manage them and find a solution.
Coping Strategies is a crucial aspect of overcoming our worries. Every individual will have their own unique coping mechanisms which work for them, but it is important not only to explore them, but to also practice them.
How can this resource be used?
- To support children 1:1 in therapy sessions, such as CBT sessions.
- To normalise talking about worries and ways of coping with them.
