'What have I enjoyed about school this year?' Exploring Changes linked to School Transition

ET-297-EP 'What have I enjoyed about school this year' Exploring Changes linked to School Transition by Exciting Teacher

‘This Year, I enjoyed…’ is an activity designed to support children with reflecting upon what they have enjoyed throughout the past Academic Year before considering if this will remain the same in their new upcoming year group.

What have been your favourite parts of school this year? Write them down or draw them in each of the circles.

Have a think about if any of these things are going to be the same again next year? If they are going to be the same, then colour in the circle! Whilst, there are going to be lots of changes coming up, not everything is going to change!

How could this resource be used?

  • To support with moving year groups.
  • To support children to identify the similarities and differences linked to moving year groups.
  • To encourage children to identify when they need further support for their mental health, both spotting warning signs in themselves and others.
