Spot, Say, Steer Bookmarks for Emotional Literacy and Emotional Regulation Support by Exciting Teacher 2026

This resource supports children to take a moment when they need to regulate BIG emotions using a helpful reminder bookmark.

This resource can be used alongside a Calm Corner or Area to calm down BIG feelings in the moment using our signature Spot, Say & Steer framework.

This resource is suitable EYFS, KS1 and KS2.

How could this resource be used?

  • To support children and young people with developing personal coping strategies for dealing with big emotions and feelings.
  • To help children and young people to distract themselves and take a moment away to calm down.
  • To support embedding the Spot, Say and Steer framework in busy classrooms.
