Hand-Brain Model A4 Display Poster for Children

‘Hand-Brain Model Poster’ has been designed to support children and young people with what we mean by ‘flipping our lid’.
It is inspired by Dr. Dan Siegel, a clinical psychiatrist.
This resource utilises a simplistic hand-model of the brain. We can use this model to explain to children how different areas of their brain are in action when they are feeling BIG feelings.
This is a very simple representation but one that can be used to support children and young people with exploring feeling regulated vs. feeling dysregulated.
How could this resource be used?
- To support emotional regulation.
- To support emotional literacy and understanding.
- To support self-regulation.
- To support a child 1:1.
- To be used as part of a classroom display.
