Grounding Techniques: Instagram-Inspired Pocket Cards (Coping Strategies for KS2/Teens)

These Grounding Technique cards have been developed to support children and young people with self-regulation and calming themselves down when feeling worried/ upset/ angry/ stressed/ etc.
This resource is suitable for Teens – as it refers to ‘Instagram’ style posts and Social Media, which is not suitable for KS1 and Lower KS2 children. Please use at the practitioner’s discretion.
How could this resource be used?
- To support children and young people with developing personal coping strategies for dealing with big emotions and feelings.
- To help children and young people to distract themselves, for example: away from making risk-related decisions.
