'My Safety Plan': Personal Risk Plan & Safety Planning Activity for Children

‘My Safety Plan’ has been designed to support children and young people with negotiating big emotions and feelings.
This is the perfect plan to create alongside the child or young person so they know what to do if they are ever at personal risk, such as wanting to hurt themselves or feeling down.
It is a tool for building emotional literacy and allowing insight into thoughts and feelings for the adults who are supporting the children or young person.
This resource forms part of safety planning and safeguarding children by ensuring that a child has 5 adults that they can talk to in confidence.
‘Who can I talk to?’ is perfect for use in ELSA, TIS and Therapy sessions.
How could this resource be used?
- To support emotional literacy.
- To support a child 1:1.
- To form part of Safety Planning.
